COURSE INFORMATION
HGV INSPECTION
The course is designed to train and prepare HGV Inspection Technicians to a level where they can successfully undertake the HGV Inspection Technician assessment and achieve the accredited 5-year license for inspecting HGV vehicles. It also provides knowledge of the responsibilities of Goods Vehicle Operators with regard to road safety.

Eligibility Requirements
This level is designed for technicians who carry out vehicle inspections and is available in the following routes: Large Commercial Vehicle, Passenger Carrying Vehicle, and Heavy Vehicle Trailer.
Technicians should be capable of working independently and ideally be in full-time employment with a minimum of three years’ experience. This ensures they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and techniques related to vehicle inspection.
To achieve accreditation, technicians must successfully complete a comprehensive assessment.
Accreditation
The accreditation is awarded in the form of a certificate specific to the chosen route of the course. Large Commercial Vehicle, Passenger Carrying Vehicle, or Heavy Vehicle Trailer. This certificate confirms that the technician has successfully completed the assessment and met the required standards for that area of inspection.​
Course Duration
The course runs over 2 days, with 6 hours of training each day. On the second day, access to an HGV vehicle with a GVW of over 3500KG is required; either a rigid vehicle or a tractor unit is acceptable. The training will be held at your premises.
Course Cost
The course is priced at £550 + VAT per candidate.
