COURSE INFORMATION Light Vehicle to HGV Conversion The course is designed to convert a light vehicle technician into a fully qualified HGV diagnostic technician through the covering of 6 technical modules. As we are aware the shortage of technicians within the HGV industry is becoming a key issue, especially in the recruitment sector. Reaching out into the light vehicle industry and completing this conversion course not only benefits the technician as they are learning and sustaining new skills but also the business aspect. Businesses can be confident in delivering a high quality of work as they know their technicians’ practices will be current and of an excellent quality. Currently we are seeing an increased number of candidates coming from marine backgrounds as well as large vehicle manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Audi. The attractive prospect of the technician being able to earn a higher salary in the HGV industry is proving clinical to securing the skills of some great personnel. Financial incentives for the technicians on completion and also length of service contracts can also be used from a business aspect. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must have prior mechanical experience, which may include backgrounds in other industries such as automotive, marine, agricultural, or industrial engineering. Accreditation Upon successful completion of the 6-week course, the candidate will receive a Light Vehicle to HGV Conversion Certificate. This certification confirms that they have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to transition from working on light vehicles to heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). Course Duration The course is delivered over a total of 6 weeks. Course Cost The course is priced at £6000 + VAT per candidate.
Cancellation Policy
This Course Cancellation Policy applies to all participants enrolled in courses provided by RMH Automotive, including in-person and online delivery. In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, participants who book online or remotely have the right to cancel within 14 calendar days of booking and receive a full refund, unless they have agreed for the course to begin within this period, in which case a proportionate charge may apply. After the 14-day cooling-off period, participants may cancel at least 14 days before the course start date to receive a full refund, between 7 and 13 days prior to receive a 50% refund, and less than 7 days before the course start date will not be eligible for a refund; failure to attend without notice will also result in no refund. Participants may transfer their place to another individual at no additional cost provided at least 48 hours’ notice is given and the substitute meets any course requirements. RHM Automotive reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to circumstances such as low enrolment, staff unavailability, or events beyond its control, in which case participants will be offered a full refund or an alternative date or course. Reasonable changes to course content, instructors, or delivery format may occur, and where such changes materially affect the course, participants may request a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method where possible. Exceptions to this policy may be made at the organisation’s discretion in cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other exceptional circumstances with appropriate evidence. All personal data will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and any complaints should be directed to RHM Automotive in line with the organisation’s complaints procedure.
