Course Overview
This two-unit qualification is intended for individuals who work on electric and hybrid vehicles. It provides essential knowledge of the hazards associated with these types of vehicles and outlines the necessary safety precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
Learners will develop an understanding of the operating principles of electric and hybrid systems, enabling them to carry out effective diagnostic and rectification procedures when repairing faults.

The qualification also covers how to safely isolate and reinstate high-voltage systems, as well as the correct techniques for removing and replacing high-voltage components.
Additionally, it includes guidance on the proper use of diagnostic and testing equipment, ensuring learners can work safely and accurately in line with industry standards.

This course is open to all individuals, regardless of their prior experience or current job role. There are no formal entry requirements, making it accessible to anyone with an interest in working safely with electric and hybrid vehicles.

Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a Level 2 Skills and Education Certification, recognising their advanced knowledge and practical skills in working with electric and hybrid vehicles.

This is a one-day course designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for working safely with electric and hybrid vehicles. The extended duration allows for more in-depth learning, including fault diagnosis, safe working practices, and correct use of diagnostic equipment. Certification is awarded upon successful completion.
