COURSE INFORMATION
Course Overview
This course is designed to introduce technicians to fault-finding procedures relating to electrical repairs. The course begins with a review of fundamental electrical principles and progresses to the use of multimeters, and the operating principles of basic electrical components and circuits. The course aims to provide a solid ground in electricity, covering: Current, Voltage, Resistance, Ohms & power law, Parallel & Series / combined circuits. Components, e.g. Relays, Diodes and resistors. Fault Diagnosis including Parasitic Drain, open circuit, resistive and short circuit faults. Understanding Wiring diagrams.
Eligibility Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
We strongly recommend completing this course prior to undertaking any of the more advanced courses.
Accreditation
Technicians can obtain RHM accreditation. This certification confirms their skills and competence in vehicle electrical systems.
Course Duration
The course duration is 3 days, consisting of 2 days theory and 1 day assessment
Course Cost
Three-day course: Cost per candidate £750 + VAT.
